How To Replace Your Baseboard Heater
BEFORE YOU START
- Turn power off at the breaker.
- Determine that the baseboard heater was on a dedicated circuit. alCove cove heaters require a dedicated circuit.
Note: Compare the amperage of the baseboard heater with the amperage of the alCove cove heater(s). If the amperage of alCove cove heater(s) is greater than the baseboard, ensure the total load will not exceed breaker size.
REPLACING THE BASEBOARD HEATER
- Remove the baseboard heater from the wall.
- Remove the thermostat used with the baseboard heater.
- Install alCove Cover Heater
- Install the alCove thermostat and make electrical connections as per thermostat installation instructions.
The installation of this heating product shall be in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code Part 1 or the National Electrical Code (US) whichever is applicable.
