King’s SC & SCM in-concrete electric heating cables are an effective solution for snow melting in driveways, walkways, and other concrete surfaces.

Take a worry-free walk or simply enjoy watching the snow fall from the comfort of your warm home, without the hassle of shoveling your stairs, driveway or treating your walkways with deicer.
Now That’s Smart!
How Electric Snow Melting Systems Work:
Electric snow melting systems operate by embedding heating cables within concrete surfaces. When activated, these cables generate heat that raises the surface temperature, melting snow and ice upon contact. The system typically includes the following components:

Snow Melt Heating Cables
King’s SC & SCM are specialized cables designed to withstand outdoor conditions, providing consistent heat to melt snow and ice. Cable can be spaced to allow between 37W/SqFt – 50W/SqFt. (3″ or 4″ Spacing) depending on the application. Heating concrete, asphalt or pavers with the SC will keep your area free from snow build-up and formation of ice.

Pyro Snow Melt Controller
The PyroBox Snow Melt/De-Icing System controls up to 4 Zones. The unique staggering feature melts snow and ice over larger areas, without the need to upgrade the power supply on site. PyroBox is available in 3 different models, to use a high demand heating system on a limited power supply source by controlling different zones and confugure for specific property needs.

Snow Sensors
The PyroSense Snow and Ice sensor detects snow, measures temperature and sends the information via the controller to the heating system. The PyroSense is connected to the PyroBox Snow Controller with a 24V- 4 wires cable and communicates with the controller, providing the temperature value and the snow detection based on several adjustable parameters.

New Pour Concrete or Asphalt
SC or SCM snow melting cables are embedded directly into freshly poured concrete or asphalt surfaces. The heating cables are evenly distributed throughout the surface, providing consistent heat to melt snow and ice efficiently. New pour installations are ideal for driveways, walkways, and other outdoor areas, offering long-term benefits in terms of safety, reduced maintenance, and energy efficiency, all while preserving the integrity of the surface.
