Smarter Way to Add Heat Without the Mess
ThermaLink™: The Future of Wireless Electric Heat Control
Whether you’re finishing a basement, converting a garage, upgrading a home office, or just need extra warmth in a chilly spot, the last thing you want is the hassle of tearing into walls or running new wires.
That’s where the ThermaLink KRF-HEAT-KIT comes in—a smart, wireless solution that makes adding an electric heater simple, clean, and cost-effective.
ThermaLink system gives you the flexibility to install electric resistance heat without runing wires between the heater and the thermostat. It’s a game-changer for homeowners and contractors looking for fast, modern heating solutions.

What Is the ThermaLink™ KRF-HEAT-KIT?
The KRF-HEAT-KIT is a 24-volt RF wireless thermostat system platform with a 20A-rated 120/240V RF wireless line voltage heating relay. Designed specifically for controlling electric resistance heaters—both fan-driven and baseboard types—it uses reliable RF communication to connect seamlessly with the thermostat for wireless heat control. With its flexible installation options, simplified wiring, and built-in energy-saving capabilities, it’s the perfect solution for modern, efficient heating management.
Why Go Wireless?
Unlike traditional thermostats that rely on hardwired connections, the ThermaLink™ platform uses RF (radio frequency) communication, allowing you to place your thermostat anywhere in the room—no rewiring needed. This flexibility eliminates cold spots and puts temperature control right where you want it.
ThermaLink™ is designed to simplify your upgrade. One of the biggest expenses in a remodel is running new wiring, patching drywall, and repainting. With ThermaLink™, adding a new heater doesn’t have to become a construction project.

How ThermaLink™ Makes It Work
KRF-HEAT-KIT features a 7-day programmable wireless RF thermostat that operates on batteries or can be connected to 24V power, eliminating the need for battery replacements. The system also includes a 120/240V, 20A heating relay that controls up to 4800W of electric heat at 240V (or 2400W at 120V). The relay fits into a standard junction box and mounts directly above the heater, and wirelessly receives signals from the thermostat to control the heater.
Here’s a simplified breakdown of how to install the system:
1. Install KRFTP-B 24V RF Wireless Thermostat
Mount the KRFTP-B wireless thermostat in a central location. While it’s battery-powered out of the box, it includes R and C terminals that allow for connection to a 24V power source—so you can eliminate the need to replace batteries over time. The thermostat serves as the central control unit to control any electric heaters that are paired to the system, communicating wirelessly with each.

2. Install The Electric Heater
Securely mount the electric heater to the wall or baseboard according to the manufacturer’s instructions, then connect it to the appropriate 120V or 240V power supply using properly rated wiring and a dedicated circuit.

3. Install KRFLR-120/240V 20A Heating Relay Control Module
The KRFLP relay is designed to fit a standard junction box, and can be installed in the same stud bay as the heater, typically mounted just above it. Run properly rated wiring from the relay to your electric heater. The relay communicates wirelessly with the central thermostat, allowing for remote control of the heater.

4. Pair the Thermostat to the Relay
Follow the pairing instructions to wirelessly connect the KRFTP-B Thermostat to the KRFLR Relay via RF signal.

5. Add Optional RF Sensors (if desired)
Install and pair any additional RF sensors, such as occupancy, window/door, or master setback switches, for enhanced control and energy efficiency.
- RF Occupancy PIR Sensor: Automatically reduces the temperature when the room is unoccupied, helping save energy.
- RF Window/Door Sensor: Detects when a window or door is open and adjusts the heating accordingly to prevent heat loss.
- RF Master Setback Switch: Provides manual control to lower the temperature across all thermostats when leaving the building, further reducing energy waste.

6. Program the Thermostat
With all hardware installed, use the ThermaLink thermostat to program a customized 7-day schedule that fits your lifestyle. Set different temperatures for morning, day, evening, and night, and let the system automatically control your heaters to maintain comfort and efficiency throughout the week.
