The OKB is commonly used for indoor spot heating applications where a great amount of heat is not required and where the mounting height is relatively low. The major benefit of infrared heating is its ability to transfer heat to a person or object without heating the surrounding air. Example installations include churches, garages, and indoor pools.

Heats Objects Not the Surrounding Air
Radiant heat is transmitted through electromagnetic waves. When these waves are absorbed they are converted into heat. The radiant energy is absorbed by objects in the room and warms the space similar to your clothes absorbing the light from the sun.

Engineering Specs
Contractor shall supply and install OK Series radiant heaters by King Electrical Mfg. Company. Heaters shall be of the wattage and voltage as indicated on the plans.
Element: Shall be of Ni-Chrome wire embedded in Magnesium Oxide with an Incoloy® metal sheath.
Junction Box: Will be extruded Aluminum and provided with heater O-ring seals which may be used to seal off junctionbox from moisture (included on OKH units only). OKB units shall have single or dual Incoloy® elements and shall swivel to direct radiant pattern to best meet the needs of application. For indoor use only.
Mounting: Shall be provided by means of 2 eyehooks per heater.
