RKX SmartWave carbon fiber radiant heaters are IP55 rated for indoor or outdoor use and deliver heat directly to people and objects – without warming the surrounding air. Powered by CarbonIQ carbon fiber elements, SmartWave produces high-output, medium-wave infrared heat with a soft, visible orange glow. With significantly less light than short-wave infrared, SmartWave heaters are ideal for outdoor patios and commercial spaces such as restaurants, where powerful heat is needed without excessive brightness.
Each unit features an integrated built-in controller with three heat levels and a hand-held RF remote that can be paired with multiple heaters to create a synchronized, zoned heating system. This allows users to control several heaters within a single area as one group, all operating under the same settings.
RKX also offers universal left- or right-side junction box mounting, enhanced by a unique LCD position sensor that automatically rotates the display based on the installation orientation.
Additional features include a Permanent Timer mode that enforces timer-only operation at startup for easy compliance with local energy codes, along with a 24-hour automatic safety shutoff to prevent wasted energy.

Utilizing the medium wave of the light spectrum, which is more effective at heating human skin, CarbonIQ producing a softer radiant heat which has a similar effect as the sun. Carbon infrared heats the skin more efficiently and is therefore experienced as warmer despite a lower output.
